  • You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

3.1 Web server log file

When you call up our website, the browser used on your end device automatically sends information to the server of our website and stores it in a log file.

3.1.1 Purpose

We process the data mentioned above for the following purposes:

3.1.3 Data types

The log file of the web server records which page calls have taken place at which time. It contains the following data: IP address, directory protection user, date, time, pages called up, logs, status code, data volume, referrer, user agent, host name called up.

The IP address is only logged if no host name could be resolved. In the log file, the host name or IP address is anonymized. The first nine bits of the entry’s IP address are converted into a hash value. For example, the IP address 123.123.123.123 would become the anonymized IP address 123.123.122.243. An anonymized IP address remains valid for a maximum of 24 hours. After that, the same source IP address would become another anonymized IP address.

3.1.4 Storage duration

Entries in the web server log file are deleted after six weeks.

3.1.5 Recipient

We will not pass on the above-mentioned data to third parties unless the transfer is necessary in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DS-GVO to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not passing on your data.
Our website is hosted by a German service provider as a commissioned processor. The service provider’s servers are located exclusively in Germany. Apart from us, only our IT service provider as a processor has access to the server.

3.1.6 Possibility of appeal

You have the right to object to this processing of your personal data, in accordance with Article 21 of the DS-GVO, if there are reasons for doing so arising from your particular situation. If you wish to exercise your right of objection, please contact us. We would be pleased if you choose to do so by sending us an e-mail, as this will enable us to process your request most quickly.

3.2 Web analysis with Matomo

3.2.1 Purpose

This website uses the web analysis tool Matomo to analyse the use of our website so that we can continuously optimise it.

3.2.2 Legal basis

The legal basis for the use of Matomo is our legitimate interest according to article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

3.2.3 Data types
  • Matomo sets a session cookie and a persistent cookie.
  • The information generated by the cookie about the website usage is transferred to our server and summarized in pseudonymous usage profiles, because our website uses Matomo with the extension “AnonymizeIP”. This means that IP addresses are further processed shortened to one byte, a direct personal reference can thus be excluded.
  • The IP address transmitted by your browser via Matomo is not merged with other data collected by us about you.
3.2.4 Receiver
  • The information collected via the persistent cookies created with Matomo is stored by us on a server in Germany. The information is not passed on to third parties.
  • Our website is hosted by a German service provider as an order processor. The service provider’s servers are located exclusively in Germany. Apart from us, only our IT service provider, as the processor of the order, has access to the server.
3.2.5 Storage period
  • The session cookie set by us with Matomo is automatically deleted after the end of your browser session.
  • The persistent cookie set by us with Matomo is automatically deleted after one year.
3.2.6 Possibility of objection

You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and refuse to accept cookies and delete them at any time.

3.3 WordPress Session Cookie

3.3.1 Purpose

The content management system WordPress used by us sets a session cookie.

3.3.2 Legal basis

The legal basis for this processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b DS-GVO.

3.3.3 Data types

No data is collected via the session cookie.

3.3.4 Receiver

The information collected via the session cookie is stored on the server of our web space. Our web space is hosted by a German service provider as a contract processor. The service provider’s servers are located exclusively in Germany. Apart from us, only our IT service provider has access to the server as an order processor.

3.3.5 Storage period

The session cookie is automatically deleted at the end of your browser session, i.e. your visit to our website.

3.3.6 Possibility of objection

You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and exclude the acceptance of session cookies.

For the provision of videos we use Vimeo.

When you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (e.g. your e-mail address, your name and your telephone number) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions.

When you contact us via the contact form, the data you provide us with will be transmitted. Your first and last name, your company (optional), your e-mail address, your telephone number (optional) and your message to us.

4.1.4 Storage period

We delete the data arising in this connection after the storage is no longer necessary for answering your inquiry, or restrict the processing if there are legal storage obligations. Data with questions that do not lead to a business transaction will be deleted after your inquiry has been answered. Data that lead to a business transaction will be stored for six years in accordance with the statutory retention periods.

We use a service provider as contract processor for the hosting of our e-mail server. The e-mail server is located in Germany. If you contact us by e-mail, your e-mail will arrive on this server. Apart from us, only our server host and our IT service provider as contract processor have access to the e-mail server. They are bound to confidentiality.

5.1.3 Data types

In the context of your purchase we collect the following data directly from you: First name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, contact data, billing address (street, house number, postcode, city, state, country), bank data and VAT registration number. As part of our customer management, we assign you a customer number and customer type and create your sales history with contract and sales data.

5.1.4 Storage period

Documents are kept for six years in accordance with the statutory retention periods.

  • We use an external service provider for our accounting system as processor. The billing data is processed in a cloud of this service provider. The servers of this cloud are located in Germany.
